About

I am first a follower of Christ. He has been my friend and source of strength, hope and faith for more than 50 years.

I have been married to my wife (also a Christ-follower) for 41 years. We have two grown – married children who are serving Jesus in various capacities. We have two wonderful grandchildren that we don’t get to see nearly as often as we would like.

I have been in some form of Christian ministry for 40 years. 21 of those in pastoral ministry and 19 in administrative ministry with my particular tribe of churches.

I am currently pastoring a church whose focus is becoming fully devoted disciples of Jesus which involves a deep relationship with God in prayer; building relationships with other believers for encouragement and accountability and building relationships with those who are trying to understand what it means to follow Christ.

I am also a runner. I enjoy the time running down a country road, a trail through the woods or park, or even through city streets. My 5k PR is 21:40 (not lightning speed but I was pleased with it). My 10K PR is 46:30. My 1/2 marathon PR is 1:50:15. I once trained for a marathon but a family crisis prevented me from running it so I went out the next week and ran my own marathon – 26.2 miles in 30 degree weather with a rain and snow mix. 4 hours and change and I was home again. I call it the Alpha and Omega Marathon.

I enjoyed the commentary about the trip. Took me right to rainy experiences in Germany. I could feel the same rain and dampness, and the foreigness but enjoyment. A part of me is experiencing it with you. The Holy Spirit reminds me of you three. I (we) respond in faith and spirit.
